Elliott-Lewis Receives Award from WorkReady Philadelphia

Steve Jones (second from right), Minority Outreach Director, accepted the 10-Plus WorkReady Award for Elliott-Lewis Corporation In partnership with the Philadelphia WorkReady Program, Elliott-Lewis opens its doors each year to area students for summer and year-long internships, offering both administrative and trade opportunities. Several of Elliott-Lewis' interns have gone on to become full-time employees of Elliott-Lewis and its affiliates. In recognition of Elliott-Lewis' extraordinary commitment to this program and to the youth of Philadelphia, the Company was recognized as a 10-Plus Award winner by the City of Philadelphia at the November 3rd Breakfast of WorkReady Champions. In 2010, Elliott-Lewis initiated and staffed its Community Outreach Program to broaden its community service to Philadelphia's inner-city youth, disabled, elderly and disadvantaged populations. As part of that effort, Elliott-Lewis is working with several Philadelphia-area companies to provide entry-level employment opportunities for area youth.
