Cristo Rey High School Philadelphia
Elliott-Lewis Corporation is a proud job partner of Cristo Rey High School of Philadelphia. Through our work-study partnership, we provide invaluable work experiences to four students, each of whom works 5 days per month during their school year. Our sponsorship helps to subsidize the cost of their private college-preparatory high school education, an education they may not otherwise be able to afford. Students are tasked with responsibilities that include administrative support, client and vendor interaction and skill building in the field of mechanical service and construction. Elliott-Lewis is able to gain perspective on the next generation of employees and the positive impact they will have on our operation in years to come.
Experiential Learning Cooperative Internship Program
The Elliott Lewis Experiential Learning Cooperative Internship Program provides work based activities in which individuals engage in learning through practical and relevant experiences within various departments of our organization. The program is designed to provide training, development and direction for a career path and potential employment and provides Elliott-Lewis a means of developing and identifying a pipeline for future talent for the organization. The company partners with local colleges and universities including Drexel University, LaSalle University, Temple University and Widener University
Our programs have a duration of six months to a full year, and selected individuals work a full time, standard work schedule. This program is open to high school and college graduates, military to civilian and career changers. The qualities that we seek in candidates for this program include the ability to multitask, exceptional interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, organized and eager to learn. The students experience projects from conception to reality, visiting jobsites and performing field reviews.
Over the last several decades, we have successfully integrated over a dozen individuals into roles within the company, several of whom have gone on to accept leadership roles within the organization.
