Marine Foundation’s Toys for Tots Annual Toy Drive

Elliott-Lewis employees brought in donations of children’s toys to benefit families who may not be able to afford to provide their children with presents for the holidays. Elliott-Lewis employees brought the donation to the local Toys for Tots warehouse, and then helped to sort and prepare even more toys that will go to children from Delaware to Bucks County, and all over the city in between.

Philabundance and WMMR’s Camp Out for Hunger Food Drive

Elliott-Lewis employees (including our satellite offices and field employees) donated over 50 pounds of food to Philabundance in time for Thanksgiving. The impact will reach all over the city of Philadelphia and employees generously donated highly requested food items to ensure families would have well-rounded meals to combat food insecurity. We are proud to be a small part in WMMR’s total 2.8 million pounds of food donated in 2022.

Team Foster Cycling Event

Team Foster has a cycling event where cyclists raise money in conjunction with a 100 mile bike ride. The money raised helps purchase service dogs for veterans with PTSD. Elliott-Lewis sponsored a rest stop on this cycling event which required a monetary donation from our company, and volunteer hours of our employees to hand out snacks and beverages to cyclists as they came through the rest stop.

Mastbaum Public High School Summer Internship Program

For the first time since COVID-19 hit, Elliott-Lewis led the charge as the first employer to return to the summer internship program with the School District of Philadelphia. Elliott-Lewis utilized this as an opportunity to place high school students enrolled in trade programs in groups of skilled professionals resulting in no less than a 3:1 ratio of Elliott-Lewis employees to each student. Students were hired to perform work well above minimum wage in skill areas that aligned with their chosen studied trade ranging from electrical studies, to carpentry studies, and even safety and graphic arts studies. Our site leads across various client facilities and corporate teams ensured students expanded their skills beyond the classroom setting while also learning the importance of real-world hard work.
