Elliott-Lewis Corporation Gifts $1,000,000 to The Friends of Father Judge High School
The Friends of Father Judge High School, Inc. has received a $1,000,000 gift from the Elliott-Lewis Corporation to establish the Elliott-Lewis Mechanical Services Institute in Father Judge High School’s Career Pathways Academy (CPA) building. The CPA building has a total project cost of $11.5 million and will feature a 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. It will be dedicated to delivering Career & Technical Education (CTE) curriculum in high priority occupations that are in demand in today’s workforce. The Elliott-Lewis Mechanical Services Institute joins the Connelly Welding Lab and the Faulkner Automotive Institute as flagship programs offered in the CPA at FJHS. Marine Foundation’s Toys for Tots Annual Toy Drive
Elliott-Lewis employees brought in donations of children’s toys to benefit families who may not be able to afford to provide their children with presents for the holidays. Elliott-Lewis employees brought the donation to the local Toys for Tots warehouse, and then helped to sort and prepare even more toys that will go to children from Delaware to Bucks County, and all over the city in between.
Philabundance and WMMR’s Camp Out for Hunger Food Drive
Elliott-Lewis employees (including our satellite offices and field employees) donated over 50 pounds of food to Philabundance in time for Thanksgiving. The impact will reach all over the city of Philadelphia and employees generously donated highly requested food items to ensure families would have well-rounded meals to combat food insecurity. We are proud to be a small part in WMMR’s total 2.8 million pounds of food donated in 2022.
Team Foster Cycling Event
Team Foster has a cycling event where cyclists raise money in conjunction with a 100 mile bike ride. The money raised helps purchase service dogs for veterans with PTSD. Elliott-Lewis sponsored a rest stop on this cycling event which required a monetary donation from our company, and volunteer hours of our employees to hand out snacks and beverages to cyclists as they came through the rest stop.
Ronald McDonald House Making Dinners for Families
Ronald McDonald House provides housing, meals, and transportation for families with sick children from out of town who are treating at Philadelphia hospitals. Elliott-Lewis employees volunteered to make dinner for all of the families staying at Ronald McDonald house that evening. Dinner included a full course with three protein options, four sides, dessert, and beverages, as well as “to go” boxes for the families who could not be present due to their children’s treatment schedules.
Cristo Rey Charter High School Workpartner Internship Program
Elliott-Lewis welcomed back in-person interns for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down schools and places of work. Elliott-Lewis supports the tuition of four students at Cristo Rey charter school and in turn provides a corporate workplace internship for each of the students for the duration of the school year. Students shadow corporate professionals and are assigned tasks such as: event planning, data analysis, record keeping, and market research.
