Ed Ryan, a fixture in commercial lending in Philadelphia for four decades, has been named a vice president of business development at Elliott-Lewis Corporation. The former executive vice president and director of commercial banking for Citizens Bank will be responsible for furthering the relationships that have made Elliott-Lewis the largest provider of mechanical services in the Delaware Valley.

“When we learned Ed was retiring from Citizens Bank earlier this year, we asked him if he would be willing to put his extensive experience building relationships to work for our company,” said Bill Sautter, president of Elliott-Lewis. “We are grateful he agreed. Our business is so much more than HVAC maintenance and construction for which we are well-known. We are relying on Ed to introduce our many other offerings such as facilities management, IT management, building controls, and specialty services to companies at the decision-maker level.”

Ryan’s 43-years in Philadelphia banking began at Continental Bank and included 23-years with CoreStates Bank. “I had worked with Elliott-Lewis Corporation in my former life as a banker,” said Ryan. “There is an awful lot of substance to this Company. But, the most unique thing here is that every single employee considers every one of its customers special. There is a real desire to deliver the trademark ‘Response You Can Depend On’ on everything from an emergency call to a billing inquiry. It is a pleasure to introduce the people I have been doing business with for so many years to that unique commitment to customer service.”

Ryan has a long history of civic involvement in the Philadelphia region. He currently serves as chairman of the Board of the Walnut Street Theatre, co-chair of the Corporate Development Committee of the World Affairs Council, chair of the Building Resource Committee for International House, chair of the Resources Development Committee for JEVS Human Services, and board member of the Police Athletic League and the Philadelphia Police Foundation. In addition, he is chair of the President’s Committee and a member of the Executive Leadership Committee of the Wistar Institute, a member of the Corporate Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, chair of the Richie Ashburn Golf Outing for the Boys Scouts (Cradle of Liberty), and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Shane and Melissa Victorino Foundation.
