(PHILADELPHIA) The G. Fred DiBona, Jr. Building at 1901 Market Street, which houses the offices of Independence Blue Cross, received two TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) Awards from BOMA Philadelphia (Building Owners and Managers Association) on September 17, 2014.
The G. FredDiBona Building was named the Best Renovation of the Year and received a TOBY Best of the Best Award for its Lobby. Elliott-Lewis is the general contractor for the renovation of several floors, the mechanical systems, the common areas, cafeteria and the new lobby.
Elliott-Lewis also provides the Facilities Management for the Building.
Considered by many to be the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program in the commercial real estate industry, BOMA’s TOBY awards recognize quality in buildings and reward excellence in building management. Winners of the local TOBY competitions move on to be judged at the regional level with winners of that competition proceeding to the International TOBY award competition.
During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and “green” policies and procedures.
Congratulations to Elliott-Lewis’ entire Blue Cross Building team, which is headed by John Fenstermaker.
